Set at the foot of the Quantock Hills, The Plough Inn offers a warm and friendly welcome with the charm you would expect from a 16th century country village pub.
Mickey, Donna and the Plough Crew have worked hard since taking over the establishment in February 2021, since then the reputation of the Plough Inn has gone from strength to strength, offering honest and hearty country fair with a nod to the modern day. The home cooked menu is well supported with local west country ales and ciders, as well as the usual array of larger, beers and wines for all tastes.
Historic Local Pub
This wonderful country inn dates back to the 16th century so you can expect plenty of rustic charm whilst you enjoy home cooked excellent quality food with care and top service given to every one of our guests. Virginia and Leonard Woolf stayed here for part of their honeymoon in 1912 and the pub is said to be haunted by the ghost of a Spanish merchant who the locals affectionately call Roberto!
